Since early this year, parents have been asking us about the kids dance performance and Ganesh event workshop, so here you go....the dance registrations for Ganesh festival are now open. The on stage act for the dance workshop is 'Pride of India' , this workshop is part of August month and it showcases the Indian values, respect, beliefs, rivers, mountains, festivals and more. Parents kindly register kids by 26th August as classes starting this week. All sessions are free for membership card holders. £10 for all sessions in the month and it's for complete family participation!!

We have planned something unique and creative for you! Join our Art n culture workshops. Basic Materials will be provided by us for you to experience the process. You don't need any previous experience. Simply join our sessions and enjoy the joy of art like a happy child!

And the good news is most of our craft workshops are online so you will be creating artworks in relaxed atmosphere and in pyjamas at your home

Community feast

Community Concord is arranging for free Indian Supper served for everyone in the community and this is made possible by locals donating homemade freshly prepared food. A menu is set and all are asked to select the item of choice and quantity they wish to donate. It's like prasad or Annadanam in India. 

It's said that Annadanam is bigger than any daan/donation in the world! So let's bank our blessings by this act of sharing food.

Let's tune our hearts to sing the grace of lovely Lord Ganesha! We are arranging for Bhajan Sandhya -an evening with Dyan, chanting, slokas, hymns and mangalam on Sep 17,18,19. Similar to every year, We are conducting Bhajan and aarti songs singing workshop for grownups. This workshop is led by professional artist and Carnatic music teacher - Miss Durga, she regularly performs at Mahalaxhmi temple East Ham, so don't miss the opportunity to learn Indian spiritual songs. You can register even if you don't want to perform but if you just wish to learn for singing at your homes ...as we have many festivals coming up.

We had loads of opportunities to perform on dances, music and crafts this year, so to make it extra special and memorable for everyone, we are attempting something very unique with help of kids to grace the festive and spiritual atmosphere of Ganesh Festival. 

'Kalpavriksh' act is a spiritual discourse of best of 18 chapters of Bhagwat Gita slokas being narrated along with its meaning and dramatics. We are sure this is going to be yet another most impactful event as all this is done in a non-judgemental atmosphere and with a pure thought of community well being. 

If you wish your kids to be part of this act then please register and classes starts in first week of September. This act is performed on 18th Sep during Ganesh Festival.

TIE n DYE Fun:

Tie-dye describes a pattern of color made by preventing the dye from reaching some areas of the 

fabric by using tight ties. Fun, easy, plus your own colorful expression, you will simply adore it.

- Learn popular techniques of tie and dye patterns and use them to make any household item 

- Mixing of colors 

- Learn the folding, scrunching & twisting

The end results are random patterns which is the surprise part of what makes tie-dye an exciting and 

interesting art form. All the basic materials are included if you have membership card so you simply 

turn up ready to be inspired and learn a new craft. You will leave the workshop with a new skill and 

a beautiful item created by you.

Scented Candle Making:

The world of candle making is exciting and fun. It's a great craft activity to let your creativity flow and you will depart the workshop with an incomparable assortment of handcrafted candles to proudly display or give away as gifts for your friends and family. 

- You will gain understanding of wicks and waxes 

- Colouring and fragrancing candles correctly 

- Decoration techniques – stamping, glitter, spraying and much more…. 

All the basic materials are included if you have membership card so you simply turn up ready to be inspired and learn a new craft. You will leave the workshop with a new skill and a beautiful item created by you.

Art of Scrapbooking:  

Lets make a photo book  out & about the person you love (Special Friend/Husband/Wife/Children/Parents ...anyone). It is a unique way to capture the charm of a person and encourage that person to be who they are!  

- Learn Easy techniques to select and organise photos
